Fly Africa which is one of the Zimbabwe low fare airline as well as an important airline service linking Victoria Falls and Johannesburg route. The company has announced to expand its regional flights operations this year with a further new 11 regional routes. These routes includes; Harare to Lusaka, Harare-Dar es Salaam, Harare-Lubumbashi, Johannesburg-Windhoek, Victoria Falls to Cape Town and many more. According to sources, the second Boeing 737 500 aircraft has been registered with the local authority and the third aircraft is scheduled to be register in February.
After this major step taken by Fly Africa, the tourism activities in Zimbabwe and to other key destinations in the region will further increase. The news is going awesome in the travel industry as these additional routes will make maximum connectivity between different cities of this region, and not only for domestic passengers but also for foreign visitors these flight operations will make their trips easier to these countries. In this context the country manager of Fly Africa Mati Karase said that “The introduction of the new routes is part of the airlines expansion program and its vision of improving air connectivity in the region.”
Fly Africa is a joint program of Zimbabwean Infrastructure Company and Fly Africa LTD, while it started its flights operations in 2014 between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, after fulfilling successful testing flights and minimum requirements required by the both civil aviation authority of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
