United Airlines, which is an American Airline service and one of the largest airline service in the world in terms of no of destinations served. The company has recently announced that it will enhance its flights to Shanghai and Chengdu from its trans-Pacific gateway hub in San Francisco in the upcoming peak travel season of summer.
United Airlines will further boost its daily flights service between San Francisco and Shanghai to double daily flights from May 6 to October 24, 2015. But this is not the end, the present schedule of three times weekly-flights between San Francisco and Chengdu, China will also further increase to daily flights between these two destinations from June 4th to September 1st, 2015. Upon the government approval, flights will be started on given schedule.
While Boeing 777 aircraft will be used for the new additional flights to Shanghai which has 269 seats and the new Chengdu flights will operate on a Boeing 787 which includes 219 seats. The new schedule of the second daily flight to Shanghai will depart from San Francisco International Airport at 2:40 pm and its arrival will be on 7:00 pm the following day at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. On the other hand daily flight to Chengdu will depart San Francisco at 1:20 p.m. and will appear on Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 6:40 p.m. the following day. There will be also an easy opportunity for the travelers of China across U.S, Canada and Latin America to take advantage of these flights because both the flights of Shanghai and Chengdu have been timed for maximum connectivity at San Francisco through United Airlines large-scale network.
“United has the most extensive trans-Pacific route network of any U.S. airline” said by Jake Cefolia, the vice president for the Atlantic and Pacific sales of United Airlines. He also said that “These new flights will further strengthen United’s presence in the region and will offer our customers unparalleled choice and convenience when travelling to China this summer.”
